At Dreams of Horses Farm we offer therapy programs in Equine Assisted Learning & Animal Assisted Therapy.
In the last decades the human-animal relationship has substantially changed while affirming the awareness that humans can remarkably benefit from it. This is the case in particular with children, elderly with those suffering from physical and psychic impairments.
Equine Assisted Learning & Animal Assisted Therapy has therapeutic significance to assist with the treatment of physical, psychic and emotional needs.

As part of the therapy programs we offer, our aim is to promote and support our clients in assisting them with growth and focusing on the individuals potentialities. Also at the same time helping them in social integration so they can adapt to all circumstances within their lives more easily.
The programs we have developed can also be delivered to groups to assist people’s welfare within their own life environment, particularly within institutions in which individuals have to put into practice their abilities to adapt.
Our programs contributes in improving individual’s quality of life and to strengthen self-confidence as part of a behavioural rehabilitation.

Our programs can be applied to different situations, such as:
prolonged hospitalization or frequent stays in health facilities; difficulties in the relational field during childhood and adolescence; emotional and psycho-emotional malaise; behavioral and socio-environmental integration problems situations of hospitalization at different levels (facilities for elderly and psychiatric, assisted living residences, underage communities, jails, etc.); illness conditions and/or disability which presuppose a program of integrated home care. As part of our programs activities such as intervention with recreational and socialization purposes aiming to promote the improvement of the quality of life and the correct human-animal interaction. |
Within the relation with the animal is a source of knowledge, of sensory and emotional stimulus; such activities are oriented to a single individual or to a group of individuals encouraging the value of the human-animal interaction aiming to their mutual welfare within the community.
PLEASE NOTE - Sports/competitive activities with animals are not included in part of our Therapy programs.
Activities covered within our programs such as:
develop competences through animal care;
increase relational and communication willingness;
Encourage motivation and involvement.
Animals involved for assisted Interventions belong to domestic species able to establish social relations with humans. Species mainly used are:
